(4)Discussion/approval/disapproval of a request for the Board of Supervisors to approve a proclamation declaring the week of May 6 through May 10, 2024, as "Economic Development Week" in the County. Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Development Council in 2016 in order to increase awareness of local programs and services that create jobs, advance career development opportunities and increase the quality of life in our communities. (5)Discussion/approval/disapproval of a Proclamation adopting the week of May 5 through May 11, 2024, as "Public Service Recognition Week." (Leo Lew)
(6)Discussion/approval/disapproval of a Proclamation declaring May 5 through May 11, 2024, as the 55th Annual "Professional Municipal Clerks Week." The declaration expresses gratitude to the "Professional County Clerks of the Board" for their invaluable contributions towards ensuring efficient county service operations within their offices. (Natasha Kennedy)

*A.Discussion/approval/disapproval of the recommendation to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control of application, series 006 Bar of Jared Michael Repinski for Ghett Yo Wings located at 40975 N. Ironwood Drive #B104, San Tan Valley, AZ 85140 and authorize the Clerk of the Board to execute and submit all necessary documents to the State. Supervisor District #2. (Natasha Kennedy)

*D.Discussion/approval/disapproval of Agreement No. EV24-0044 between the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Pinal County, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, beginning July 1, 2024, ending June 30, 2025, for $92,454. The contract will be used by the Air Quality Department to pay for salaries and employee related expenses and supplies to implement the Pinal County Travel Reduction Program. The revenue and expenses related to the award will be included in the budget for FY 24/25. There is no impact on the General Fund. (Anu Jain/Himanshu Patel)
*E.Discussion/approval/disapproval of a Subrecipient Agreement for American Rescue Plan Act State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds between the Oracle Fire District and Pinal County, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors beginning March 1, 2021, ending December 31, 2024, for $113,350. The Oracle Fire District will purchase an Air Curtain Burner Machine to prevent future forest fires. Supervisor District #4. (Heather Patel/Angeline Woods)

*O.Discussion/approval/disapproval for Lieutenant Christopher Lapre #L18/1356 who will be retiring from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO), effective April 27, 2024. Lieutenant Lapre #L18/1356 has requested that, in compliance with established precedence and protocol, he be permitted to purchase his PCSO issued duty weapon(s), identified as Glock 48 at $25 and Daniel Defense DD5 at $330. Fair market value for the Glock is approximately $420 and Fair market value for the Daniel Defense is $330. Purchase of issued weapon(s) upon retirement is also in compliance with A.R.S. 38-1115A which allows a law enforcement officer upon his/her retirement to purchase his/her issued weapon(s) at a price determined by the administrator of the agency. Discussion/approval/disapproval to authorize Pinal County Attorney to take all necessary action to enforce the Civil Hearing Office finding of violations against Christopher W. Thiem, up to and including filing a complaint in Superior Court, utilizing appropriate resources to remedy the violations, and file liens for the cost of recovery. The property owner was found in violation of the Pinal County Development Services Code and the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code for maintaining the presence of an unpermitted structure approximately 3500 square feet in size. (13)Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Case CSR-017-23: Joseph Wallace of Spotlight Signs (applicant/agent), on behalf of Del Sol Ventures LLC (owner), requesting approval of a Comprehensive Sign Package to allow the installation of three (3) wall mounted signs at 71.43 square feet altogether, and one (1) freestanding sign at 71.2 square feet, for a total signage of 142.63 square feet, on a ±1.17 acre parcel in the General Business Zoning District (CB-2); tax parcel 104-22-9380 (legal on file); located north of E. The view or beliefs expressed by the invocation speaker have not been previously reviewed or approved by the Board and do not necessarily represent the religious beliefs or views of the Board in part or as a whole. No member of the community is required to attend or participate in the invocation and such decision will have no impact on their right to participate actively in the business of the Board.
