Chairman Serdy offered for the Invocation by Chaplain Joseph Samoge Jr., Pinal County Sheriff's Office and the pledge of allegiance by Supervisor Cavanaugh. The Pinal County Board of Supervisors convened at 9:32 a.m. this date. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Serdy with the announcement outside counsel has a scheduling conflict therefore if needed at 1:30 p.m. Item 24 will be called, and noted the Board may take a Recess around 12:30 p.m.

Discussion/approval/disapproval to authorize Pinal County Attorney to take all necessary action to enforce the Civil Hearing Office finding of violations against Eddy Escarcega, up to and including filing a complaint in Superior Court, utilizing appropriate resources to remedy the violations, and file liens for the cost of recovery. The property owner was found in violation of the Pinal County Development Services Code of Outside Storage and Parking for storing two inoperable recreational vehicles, being used as living quarters, and storage of tires and other indiscernible items. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Pinal County by and through the Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) and the Department of Liquor Licenses & Control (DLLC) Regarding Use of Shooting Range. The purpose of this agreement is to grant DLLC limited use and access to the Outdoor Shooting Range owned by PCSO. (Mark Lamb)

Discussion/approval/disapproval to accept the FY 23/24 Senate Bill 1720 Local Border Support appropriation through the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Border Strike Force Funding Department to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors beginning July 1, 2023, ending June 30, 2024, for $1,000,000. These funds will be used to support the Anti-Smuggling Unit (ASU), the Pinal County Narcotics Task Force (PCNTF), and our Gang and Habitual Offender Strike Team (GHOST) Unit. The acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 23/24 budget to transfer reserve appropriation from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 203 (Sheriff’s Grants) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations.
