BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval of Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) No. 235533 between the Pinal County Board of Supervisors and the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES)/Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS). This DSA must be amended to reflect the changes to how and where designated ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County staff and contracted partners access Unemployment Insurance (UI) data. The current application, hosted by the Arizona Department of Economic Security, is the General Unemployment Insurance Development Effort (GUIDE) application. GUIDE is being replaced with a new, modern unemployment benefits solution called the Comprehensive Arizona Claims Tracking and Unemployment Insurance Support System (CACTUS). The implementation of the new CACTUS system is scheduled to go live on August 3, 2025. The data-sharing agreement amendment needs to be in place before CACTUS is active. (Joel Millman)
