BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval of Award Agreement M24-0012 under the Border Fencing and Technology program between the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) and Pinal County, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, beginning October 1, 2022, ending September 30, 2027, for $9,540,000. The Sheriff’s Office will use the grant to purchase/lease a helicopter to provide support for border related activities, such as interdiction, surveillance, and search & rescue operations. The revenue and expenses related to the award are included in the budget for FY 24/25. There is no impact on the General Fund. (Mark Lamb)
