BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval of Amendment No. 1 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Navajo County for Labor Market Information Subscription Services.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires local workforce development boards to assess data on the local labor market and make strategic planning decisions based on that data. This IGA represents a partnership with Navajo County, which mitigates the overall costs of obtaining the data through Lightcast. The total cost of the service is $26,000 annually, and Pinal County will share equally, making our portion $13,000.
This IGA has been developed to detail the subscription services and cost allocation. On April 18, 2024, the Pinal County Workforce Development Board approved a one-year extension of the IGA and subscription. (Joel Millman/James Smith)
