BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval to sign an agreement regarding Local Border Support between the Department of Public Safety and Pinal County, beginning July 1, 2023, ending June 30, 2025, for $990,000. The Pinal County Board of Supervisors accepted the award and budget appropriation on November 1, 2023. The agreement modifies the original award notification to decrease the award amount and extend the agreement period. These funds will be used by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office to support the Anti-Smuggling Unit (ASU), the Pinal County Narcotics Task Force (PCNTF), and our Gang and Habitual Offender Strike Team (GHOST) Unit.
