BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:

Discussion/approval/disapproval of Award Agreement No. ST-WSG-20-010121-16Y3 under the STOP Violence Against Women program between the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth Faith and Family and Pinal County,  through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors beginning January 1, 2023, ending December 31, 2023, for $124,994 with a match of $41,665. This grant will be used by the Pinal County Attorney's Office for staff salaries and ERE's for two victim advocates to provide services to victims of crime. The funding was adopted in the FY22/23 budget. (Kent Volkmer) 
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FISCAL CONSIDERATIONS AND/OR EXPECTED FISCAL IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
The award will be used for Salaries, EREs for the PCAO Victim Services division. The grant proceeds will fund (2) Victim Advocate positions. This grant has been budgeted for FY22/23.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPECTED PERFORMANCE IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
The STOP Violence against Women grant will continue to focus on the implementation of a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed approach to working with female victims of violent crimes. This fund will pay for the creation of two Victim Advocate positions to serve as points of contact for female victims of sexual and domestic violence whose cases have been investigated, but not yet charged. This grant will have the opportunity to reapply depending on fund availability. These positions will allow PCAO to continue to effectively and efficiently operate the case management load within Victim Services.
