BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 122122-OST authorizing the acceptance of Award Agreement No. 652301 under the Heritage Fund, Local, State and Regional Park grant between the Arizona State Parks and Trails and Pinal County, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors ending June 30, 2025, for $250,000 and authorizing all actions necessary to implement and complete the activities outlined in the application. This grant will be used by Open Space and Trails for the Oracle Community Park redevelopment project. Supervisor District #4. (Kent Taylor/Himanshu Patel)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FISCAL CONSIDERATIONS AND/OR EXPECTED FISCAL IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
This grant requires a 50% match, which will be matched with one time capital improvement funds approved in the FY22/23 budget. The total grant request is for $250,000, the total estimated cost of this redevelopment project is $846,227.00.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPECTED PERFORMANCE IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
Implementation of this redevelopment project aligns with Pinal County Strategic Business Plan, Strategic Priority #1, Foster vibrant communities to create live-work-play environments.
