BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION: Discussion/approval/disapproval for the FY 22/23 Senate Bill 1729 appropriation to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for $1,800,000. The monies will be for the school safety interoperability fund and costs associated with implementing the school safety program (established by ARS 41-1733). The Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 22/23 budget to transfer reserve appropriation from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 203 (Sheriff's Grants) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. The appropriation is a pro-rated amount of $900,000 for the current Fiscal Year. The remaining amount will be budgeted in FY 23/24. There is no impact on the General Fund. (Mark Lamb)
