BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval of membership in the Canada Arizona Business Council (CABC), relevant performance goals expected from membership, and, if approved, action to appropriate funding to pay the related dues. This item is to take action on the presentation and discussion of CABC membership at the October 19, 2022, Special Session. The Approval of membership will require an amendment to the FY 22/23 budget to transfer reserve appropriation from Fund 10 (Contingency) to Fund 10 (Economic Development Department) to increase expenditure appropriations for the membership cost. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FISCAL CONSIDERATIONS AND/OR EXPECTED FISCAL IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
If membership in the CABC is approved by the Board of Supervisors, funding of $10,000 will also need to be appropriated to the Economic Development Department for payment of the related dues.
