BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval of Grant-In-Aid Agreement under the Proposition 202 Tribal Gaming grant between the Tohono O'odham Nation and Pinal County, beginning January 1, 2023, ending December 31, 2023, for $403,100. Pinal County will serve as the pass through fiscal agent. This grant will be used by FOR Maricopa for a backpack program $23,000, Hope International Food Bank for emergency food relief $37,600, Horizon Health and Wellness to rehabilitation housing $270,500, Seeds of Hope for hot lunches for seniors $52,000, and The Opportunity Tree for a youth transition program $20,000. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FISCAL CONSIDERATIONS AND/OR EXPECTED FISCAL IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
There is no fiscal impact to Pinal County. Proposition 202, requires non-profits apply through a unit of local government. Pinal County will serve as the fiscal agent and pass through entity.
