Discussion/approval/disapproval of rescinding an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Pima Animal Center and Pinal County Animal Care and Control approved by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors on May 26, 2021. Both Pima Animal Services and Pinal County Animal Care and Control agree to rescind this agreement. This IGA was for emergency services in the case of a disaster with each shelter holding animals for the other shelter. This agreement will not move forward due to Pima County's Board of Supervisors sentiment that money should be paid by Pinal County to Pima County in the event they house animals in a disaster for our facility. Both agencies do not wish to have this in the contract so we both wish this IGA be rescinded. It was not signed nor on any agenda before the Pima Board, it was agreed to terminate the contract before it became an agenda item in their County. (Audra Michael/MaryEllen Sheppard)
