BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval for the approval of FY 21/22 Governor's Office of Highway Safety Law Enforcement Program Award Grant No. 2022-PTS-051, between the Governor's Office of Highway Safety and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for $80,000. This award will be used to support Personnel Services (Overtime), and Employee Related Expenses to reduce the incidences of traffic fatalities and injuries resulting from speeding, aggressive driving, and other forms of risky driving behavior thru enforcement. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 21/22 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 116 (Sheriff/Traffic Safety) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations.
