BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AGENDA ITEM AND REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Discussion/approval/disapproval to accept the Equipment Support Grant Award, No. ELOY-AZ-REQUIP21, between the National Children's Alliance (NCA), and the Pinal County Attorney's Office, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, for a total of $4,999 commencing January 1, 2021, and terminating December 31, 2021. The award will be used to purchase a camera system upgrade for photo-documentation for the County Attorney's Eloy Family Advocacy Center. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 20/21 budget to transfer reserve appropriation from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 268 (CO Atty Misc Grants) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPECTED PERFORMANCE IMPACT OF THIS AGENDA ITEM:
NCA has been providing support, technological assistance and quality assurance for advocacy centers while serving as a voice for abused children for more than 25 years. Awards through this funding program are only offered competitively to accredited advocacy centers. The PCAO Eloy Family Advocacy Center is an NCA accredited centers.
