Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of the following 2020 Major Amendments to the 2019 Pinal County Comprehensive Plan. Although this is one public hearing covering all of the following amendment requests, the Supervisors may ask the public to speak on each Major Amendment request separately and may discuss and vote on each request separately:
A. PZ-PA-004-20: Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 2020-PZ-PA-004-20, a Resolution approving case PZ-PA-004-20, a County initiated Major Comprehensive Plan Amendment to Chapter 7 Environmental Stewardship, Water Resources Element, of the 2019 Pinal County Comprehensive Plan. The proposed text amendment will modify the Water Resources Element by proposing updates to the background information on the purpose of the Water Resources element, update certain goals, objectives, and policies regarding water conservation and identification of water service providers. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval to the Board of Supervisors unanimously (8-0). (Gilbert Olgin/Lester Chow)
B. PZ-PA-005-20: Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 2020-PZ-PA-005-20, a Resolution approving case PZ-PA-005-20, a County initiated Major Comprehensive Plan Amendment to Chapter 3 Land use, Chapter 6 Open Spaces and Places and Chapter 7 Environmental Stewardship, Water Resources Element, of the 2019 Pinal County Comprehensive Plan. The proposed text amendment will modify the referenced Chapters by adding goals, objectives and policies relating to riparian areas, wildlife corridors and the Pinal County Birding Trail. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial to the Board of Supervisors (7-1). (Evan Evangelopoulos/ Lester Chow)
C. PZ-PA-006-20: Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 2020-PZ-PA-006-20, a Resolution approving case PZ-PA-006-20, a Major Comprehensive Plan Amendment proposal by The Alice Group, Inc., Alice Robertson owner, Susan Innis, Invenergy applicant to re-designate 1,642 acres from Moderate Low Density Residential (1-3.5 du/ac) to Green Energy Production for a photovoltaic Solar Power Plant, in Coolidge and Eloy area, Pinal County. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval to the Board of Supervisors (7-1). Supervisor District #3. (Sangeeta Deokar/Lester Chow)
